Steel Project Engineering on site in Pavia

On October 14, 2025, Steel Project Engineering took part in a training day organized by FPC Italia at the Montebello della Battaglia (PV) headquarters, focused on “Seismic Isolation: the design of anti-seismic devices, analysis of protection systems, and testing required by NTC 2018 standards.”

The event offered valuable technical insights into the design and use of seismic protection devices for buildings and infrastructures, with presentations by Luca Colle (FPC Sales Manager) and Giulio Camossi (Technical Designer).

Key topics included system characteristics, design criteria, applications on bridges and viaducts, and recent developments in rubber and steel anti-seismic devices.

A shared commitment to technical training
Steel Project Engineering attended the event with 17 team members from different departments, demonstrating the company’s commitment to continuous learning and to spreading a shared culture of structural safety.

Collaboration and innovation
The day also offered a chance for direct discussion with FPC’s engineers, exploring the practical use of seismic isolation systems and visiting the ISOLAB® Testing Laboratory and the production plant for rubber devices.

A constructive moment of exchange and technical updating that strengthens the collaboration between the two companies, both dedicated to safer and more innovative structural solutions.
