The bridge over the Serchio River has strategic importance and is considered essential for the Piana di Lucca. Once completed, this new infrastructural connection will not only significantly improve the area\u2019s viability and safety but will also serve as a crucial link between the two banks of the Serchio, connecting SP1 ‘Francigena’ (via per Camaiore) with State Road 12 of the Brenner.<\/p>\n

The assembly phases of the 100-meter span (P5-P6) and the 80-meter span on the Brenner side are currently being completed. Once these operations and the preparation of the ford in the riverbed are finished, the decks will be transported using SPMT to their final planimetric location.<\/p>\n

Last week, President Giani, along with Infrastructure Councillor Stefano Baccelli, the President of the Province of Lucca Marcello Pierucci, Provincial Councillor Luca Menesini, and the technicians, conducted a site inspection.<\/p>\n
